Mandy has over 30 years of experience as a wildlife biologist and 20 years of experience as a biological consultant. Her experience includes vertebrate research, wildlife inventories, habitat evaluation and assessment, and environmental education. She holds a Federal recovery permit for the Alameda whipsnake (#TE-078657-4) and has conducted numerous trapping surveys and habitat assessments for the species since 2001. Mandy has provided mitigation guidance and monitoring on projects involving the Alameda whipsnake for over a decade. She is experienced in conducting protocol level surveys for raptors and sensitive aquatic and terrestrial vertebrate species including the California tiger salamander, California red-legged frog, Alameda whipsnake, silvery legless lizard, Pacific pond turtle and San Joaquin kit fox. She has extensive experience handling most of the common and sensitive reptile species found in central California.

He is experienced in conducting protocol-level surveys as well as the proper capture and handling of several aquatic and terrestrial vertebrate species including: California tiger salamander, California red-legged frog, foothill yellow-legged frog, Alameda whipsnake, western pond turtle, Mohave ground squirrel, San Francisco dusky-footed woodrat, burrowing owl, and spotted owl. Caleb holds a federal recovery permit (#TE-14237A-1) to capture and handle California red-legged frog and California tiger salamander. Caleb is currently listed on federal and state permits as an authorized individual to capture and handle Alameda whipsnake (TE-078657-2, Amanda Murphy), and Mohave ground squirrel (Biosearch Associates Memorandum of Understanding). He has developed and implemented project-specific Memoranda of Understanding for the capture and relocation of San Francisco dusky-footed woodrat.
